TL;DR
Sr Project Manager - IT (Technical) (Retail Technology): Leading complex, cross-functional technology projects across eCommerce, supply chain, store systems, infrastructure, and enterprise technology with an accent on delivery planning, technical readiness, budgets, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on coordinating engineering, QA, security, architecture, vendors, and business teams while managing risks, dependencies, governance reviews, and implementation readiness.
Location: On-site in Springfield, Missouri; remote work is not available.

What you will do
- Own complex technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure, ensuring intended business outcomes are delivered.
- Build and maintain project plans covering scope, schedules, milestones, resources, dependencies, budgets, forecasts, and success criteria.
- Coordinate execution across engineering, infrastructure, QA, security, data, architecture, business, and vendor teams.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, escalations, governance reviews, and cross-team decisions.
- Coordinate testing, release readiness, architecture, security, observability, implementation, and production support activities.
- Report project health and financial status, support portfolio planning, improve project management practices, and mentor project managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technology projects independently.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycle, integrations, networking, hardware, infrastructure, security, QA, testing, release management, and production readiness.
- Experience managing schedules, resources, budgets, forecasts, risks, dependencies, vendors, and stakeholder escalations.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps, plus strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and influence skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in retail store operations, eCommerce, omnichannel, supply chain, infrastructure, data, enterprise technology, automotive aftermarket, or auto parts.
- Experience with SAFe, DevOps, ITIL, organizational change, process improvement, or technology transformation.
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
