TL;DR
Legal Specialist (Information Technology): Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, professional services, confidentiality, employment, and information technology contracts with an accent on compliance, legal risk management, and strategic business support. Focus on interpreting regulatory changes, developing standard contracts and policies, and advising multidisciplinary teams on legal matters.
Location: Remote in Canada; work from home or from one of the offices.

What you will do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, professional services, confidentiality, employment, and information technology contracts.
- Advise departments on legal matters, issue legal opinions, and coordinate with external legal advisors.
- Develop standard contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze and monitor changes in applicable legislation and regulations.
- Support strategic projects through proactive risk management, compliance, and legal guidance.
Requirements
- Member of the Bar of Quebec or another Canadian province.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills required.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, particularly in information technology.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work autonomously, and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong prioritization, communication, legal analysis, and risk-assessment skills.
Nice to have
- Previous in-house legal advisor experience.
- Knowledge of information technology law, intellectual property, personal information protection, and labor law.
