TL;DR
Technician I - Process (Implant/Diffusion) (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Operating and improving semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment with an accent on ion implantation, diffusion, calibrations, recipes, and production-quality control. Focus on troubleshooting process and tool issues, analyzing manufacturing data, implementing corrective actions, and documenting OCAPs, procedures, and experiments.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Onsite back-day shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–7:12 p.m.

What you will do

  • Certify and train production operators while supporting manufacturing process efficiency improvements.
  • Operate production equipment, perform routine checks and qualifications, machine calibrations, and first-line troubleshooting.
  • Make timely production-hold decisions and determine whether issues are related to the process, product, or equipment.
  • Initiate corrective actions, troubleshoot out-of-control tools and products, and support process and equipment changes.
  • Create and update operating specifications, recipes, equipment procedures, OCAP documents, shift passdowns, and progress reports.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data; document experiment results and collaborate with engineers and Document Control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate of Science degree or higher is preferred.
  • More than two years of semiconductor manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing practices, manufacturing process flows, and basic SPC theory, practice, and implementation.
  • Ability to create and edit recipes, perform machine calibrations, and troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Strong computer, spreadsheet, documentation, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced production environment and learn complex chemical equipment processes.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Design of Experiments, automated manufacturing equipment, and machinery programming and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of and experience in diffusion and ion implantation.
  • Ability to analyze technical procedures, statistical methods, probability, geometry, trigonometry, and experiment data.
