Senior Planner

Location: Farmingdale, New York, USA

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year

The role supports production planning and operational coordination for sensor manufacturing activities.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain production schedules, production plans, and material requirement lists aligned with customer demand, contract requirements, the Master Production Schedule, and capacity constraints.
• Coordinate production priorities with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material and resource availability.
• Support inventory optimization by managing shortages, excess inventory, obsolete materials, and work-in-process levels.
• Monitor production progress, adjust schedules, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies for supply or operational issues.
• Maintain production planning metrics in ERP systems and prepare reports on production status, schedule adherence, and KPIs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, cycle times, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain principles.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Additional security screening may be required for access to export-controlled information.
