Senior RF Modeling and Simulation Engineer

hirify.global is a quickly growing employee-owned company developing advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities for national security and defense customers.

What you will do

• Build a highly modular system for modeling and simulating contested electromagnetic environments.
• Design and implement simulation frameworks, RF models, and interfaces.
• Enhance the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) for Air Force Research Laboratory applications.
• Integrate existing RF system and subsystem models into a new simulation architecture.
• Develop products supporting electromagnetic spectrum operations studies for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, Department of War, and intelligence community.
• Work across controlled unclassified information and multiple classification levels while providing technical leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of development experience with C++, Python, Rust, or related languages.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Experience with lean Agile software development and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication, organizational, teamwork, and technical leadership skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AFSIM or other RF/electromagnetic spectrum operations simulation environments.
• Knowledge of RF sensors, communications systems, electronic warfare phenomenology, and military systems modeling.
• Experience with C++20 or newer, quantitative analysis, and MS&A visualization tools.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Qt 6, or VTK.
• DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility and familiarity with DoD security practices.
