Senior RF Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and implement RF engineering test plans and procedures.
• Develop test requirements and map them to reusable test architectures, procedures, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Use RF laboratory equipment, including vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF signal generators.
• Analyze and present test results to stakeholders, customers, and executive leadership.
• Manage laboratory equipment and contribute to key equipment purchasing decisions.
• Participate in design-for-test planning, engineering design reviews, and proposal writing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years with a master’s degree, including RF test system design, analysis, and implementation.
• High proficiency in RF measurements such as linearity, noise spectral density, and EVM.
• Experience designing test architectures with scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Knowledge of statistics and metrology for RF test design, plus hands-on laboratory instrumentation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity or hands-on experience with phased array testing.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
• Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware, including amplifiers, filters, ADCs, DACs, and antennas.
