Capital Markets Associate - Tax Equity (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Build financial models from scratch for novel capital structures and financing products.
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate financing structures and optimize capital mix.
• Develop and maintain complex Excel project finance models covering tax equity, debt, ABS, and other structured capital vehicles.
• Support debt, tax equity, and structured finance transactions, including due diligence, term sheet review, pricing analysis, and closing processes.
• Meet with banks, investors, legal counsel, and other capital partners while maintaining transaction and deal-tracking models.
• Analyze market, competitor, macroeconomic, legislative, and regulatory trends for strategic and capital planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of experience in project finance, structured finance, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience building complex project finance models, including tax equity, structured debt, ABS, or LBO models.
• Experience with scenario and sensitivity analysis for new or novel financing structures.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and workstreams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to have

• MBA or CFA.
• Experience structuring debt, equity, tax equity, or ABS transactions.
• Solar or renewable energy experience.
