Specialist, Customer Order Fulfillment (Supply Chain): Managing customer order fulfillment and delivery performance for Ciena’s Americas customer base with an accent on supply issue resolution, escalation management, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on improving forecast accuracy, driving recovery plans, chairing customer order reviews, and securing timely shipment approvals.
Location: Remote-UK Zone 2; working North American hours is required.

What you will do
- Manage customer order fulfillment and delivery performance for the Americas customer base.
- Translate customer needs into actionable supply chain plans and drive issues through to resolution.
- Manage escalations, identify systemic supply challenges, and coordinate recovery actions with Supply Chain, Sales, Services, and Customer Account teams.
- Lead weekly customer order board calls covering order books, delivery issues, recovery plans, and upcoming projects.
- Improve forecast accuracy by aligning future material requirements with customer account teams.
- Track shipments, resolve credit ship holds, manage quarter-end pull-ins, and secure approvals for priority shipments and RMAs.
Requirements
- Must be able to work North American hours.
- University or college degree.
- Four or more years of supply chain experience, including order management or fulfillment.
- Strong stakeholder influence, prioritization, interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Oracle, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and a record of achieving demanding targets.
