Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Onsite at the ISD Office in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000 in Bentonville, Arkansas, or $117,000–$234,000 in Sunnyvale, California. Additional performance bonuses and stock may be available.

What you will do

• Own scoped software features and AI/ML model delivery in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain components using JavaScript, Python, and C++.
• Integrate AI/ML components and use generative AI tools to improve software development efficiency.
• Participate in solution design, evaluate technical trade-offs, and build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Conduct code reviews, manage defects, monitor application performance, and support continuous integration and deployment.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes while mentoring peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of software engineering experience, or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming, documentation-based coding, code review, debugging, and continuous development skills.
• Experience delivering scoped features or models through iterative and incremental development.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and using generative AI tools.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
