Sr. Software Engineer/Developer (Full Stack)

Location: 100% onsite, 5 days per week at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, Virginia. US or naturalized citizenship and an active Secret or current interim Secret clearance are required.

Salary: $150,000–$163,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of complex software solutions and define architecture, design patterns, and technical approaches.
• Write maintainable, scalable, and secure code while leading code reviews and quality assurance practices.
• Evaluate technologies, tools, and development processes to improve product quality and engineering efficiency.
• Resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and software defects.
• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and delivery timelines.
• Identify software delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies for the PDS project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years as a lead developer.
• Active Secret or current interim Secret clearance and US or naturalized citizenship.
• IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, plus a computing environment certification.
• Experience with C#, Java, SQL, JavaScript, web application development, API development, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with .NET frameworks, SQL Server, data modeling, Git, CI/CD, AWS cloud-native services, and Department of Defense information assurance requirements.
