Transportation Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 96,140–138,300 annually, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Complete traffic engineering analyses focused on mobility and safety.
• Complete and supervise traffic modelling assignments.
• Lead traffic management studies and develop traffic control plans.
• Prepare technical reports describing analysis methods and findings.
• Maintain engineering and design records and ensure designs follow applicable standards.
• Supervise and mentor EITs, engineers, and designers while supporting quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Canadian transportation engineering environment.
• University degree in Civil Engineering.
• Registration to act as an Engineer of Record with EGBC.
• Working knowledge of Civil3D and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of traffic operations, signal timing principles, transportation guidelines, manuals, and best practices.
• Ability to manage projects, lead teams, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in a consulting environment.
• Valid driver's licence and personal vehicle.
• Working knowledge of Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, Sidra, AutoTURN, or HCS.
