Director, Government & Industry Affairs - State & Regional

Location: Based at hirify.global headquarters in Cary, North Carolina; regular travel throughout North Carolina and nationally is required.

What you will do

• Own government affairs engagement with the North Carolina General Assembly, executive branch, state agencies, and other policymakers.
• Develop state and regional engagement strategies based on legislative, regulatory, commercial, and freedom-to-operate priorities.
• Build relationships with agricultural associations, commodity and grower organizations, Farm Bureaus, agribusiness groups, chambers, and allied stakeholders.
• Represent hirify.global at legislative and regulatory meetings, conferences, committees, and industry forums.
• Monitor political, legislative, regulatory, and industry developments and translate them into concise recommendations for leadership.
• Develop advocacy strategies and coalitions while partnering with Legal, Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in government affairs, public policy, agriculture, agribusiness, state government, an agricultural association, or a related field.
• Experience working with state legislators, executive branch officials, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of agriculture, farmers, agribusiness, and the crop protection policy environment.
• Ability to build coalitions, establish trusted relationships, represent hirify.global independently, and communicate complex issues as actionable recommendations.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout North Carolina and nationally.

• North Carolina government affairs experience and established relationships in the state's agricultural and policymaking communities.
