TL;DR
Senior Manager, Financial Reporting (U.S. GAAP/SEC Reporting): Managing global consolidated financial statements, SEC filings, close activities, and financial reporting controls with an accent on complex transactions, stock compensation, lease accounting, and audit compliance. Focus on leading the Financial Reporting team, maintaining reporting policies, overseeing XBRL and FCCS processes, and resolving complex U.S. GAAP issues.

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work with four days in the office each week

Total cash compensation: $121,400–$186,150 annually, inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive.

What you will do

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, global consolidations, SEC filings, earnings releases, management reports, and board reports.
  • Research and resolve complex reporting issues and unusual transactions under U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Oversee close activities, including stock-based compensation, journal entries, reconciliations, and cash flow statement reviews.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with internal audit and SOX requirements.
  • Coordinate quarterly and year-end audits, including audit requests and XBRL tagging reviews.
  • Lead the Financial Reporting team and manage the FCCS application and Global Chart of Accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA certification.
  • 8–10 years of accounting experience, including Big 4 experience and/or SEC reporting at a large, multinational, publicly held corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with audit documentation, SOX reviews, process controls, and financial reporting policies.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to work from the Chicago office four days per week under the hybrid model.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FCCS financial consolidation software.
  • Working knowledge of XBRL.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience.
