Senior Financial Accounting Analyst

Location: Burbank, California, United States

Salary: $104,800–$128,000 per year, plus potential bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.

Industrial Light & Magic operates within The Walt Disney Company’s film studio and enterprise controllership organizations, supporting financial reporting across major entertainment divisions.

What you will do

• Manage production and distribution accounting and reporting for multiple studio business areas.
• Analyze production costs, distribution revenue, overhead, interest expenses, estimated film costs, and significant variances.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end financial statements, reporting deliverables, footnote disclosures, accruals, and variance analyses.
• Prepare monthly development and production spending packages, production cost rollforwards, and distribution cash statements.
• Coordinate accounting inquiries with business partners, Finance, Corporate Controllership, Treasury, Tax, FP&A, and third-party service providers.
• Support SOX compliance, tax and financial audits, journal-entry reviews, ad hoc reporting, and continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with an Accounting emphasis.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or entertainment accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve issues involving multiple stakeholders and provide guidance to third-party service providers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adapt quickly, and learn tasks independently.

• CPA certification or active CPA candidacy.
