IT Analyst (Banking Payments)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain payment settlement systems for the Polish and European markets.
• Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse business processes, system integrations, and data models.
• Collaborate with IT, business, and external stakeholders to design solutions.
• Manage changes, maintain project documentation, and verify implemented solutions against specifications.
• Prepare test scenarios, support testing, and act as a proxy Product Owner in the payments area.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of overall experience and at least 3 years in IT projects within banking or financial services.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional and non-functional specifications, business process analysis, data models, and system integrations.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
• English at minimum B2 level, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment settlement systems such as Elixir, Express Elixir, Sorbet, SEPA, or TARGET.
• Knowledge of system architecture and integration patterns, including EIP, event-driven architecture, microservices, and REST.
• Knowledge of Event Storming, Domain Storytelling, User Story Mapping, Example Mapping, DDD, or BDD.
• Experience with Git, test strategy, test automation, or reading code at a basic level.
• Experience using AI tools to improve daily work.
