AI Systems Engineer (f/m/d) (AI)

Location: Bochum, Germany; on-site. Three anchor office days are required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Candidates must be based in Bochum or be willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operationalize AI-native capabilities including Claude MCP integrations, custom Claude skills, Rovo agents, and Enterprise Apps connectors.
• Own and evolve Jira Service Management as an internal platform, including service catalogs, SLAs, queues, request types, and automated routing.
• Administer the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including Jira Software, Confluence, JSM, Guard, Loom, Trello, and Bitbucket.
• Engineer workflow automations and enterprise integrations using Atlassian Automation, REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, and marketplace apps.
• Manage JSM Assets, CMDB data, IT hardware, software licenses, and configuration items as an audit-ready source of truth.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Security, and go-to-market teams to improve internal processes and advance the platform roadmap.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-native platforms, agent frameworks, connectors, and prompt-based workflows, including Claude/Anthropic or MCP.
• 5+ years of enterprise administration experience with Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Confluence Cloud.
• Experience with workflow automation, REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience configuring and maintaining a CMDB or IT asset management system, such as JSM Assets or ServiceNow CMDB.
• Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and ITIL v3/v4, including incident, change, problem, and request management.
• Fluent English, written and verbal, and willingness to work on-site in Bochum are required.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Python, Groovy, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Okta, JumpCloud, Slack, Zoom, NetSuite, BambooHR, or Salesforce.
• Knowledge of IT General Controls, access governance, and external audit support.
• ACP-620, ACP-120, or ACP-420 certification.
