Project Engineer (Construction)

Location: Texas, United States — remote listing for Midland, TX; the role includes frequent on-site construction activities, outdoor work, ladder and stair use, movement across uneven surfaces, and moving equipment up to 50 lb.

What you will do

• Interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
• Coordinate work sequencing with subcontractors and vendors and support safe project execution.
• Assist with RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, record drawings, project layout, and field engineering.
• Support workforce supervision, quality control, schedule development, and adherence.
• Monitor OSHA and company safety policies and maintain daily reports.
• Apply Lean Construction practices and collaborate with project and field supervision teams.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of relevant construction experience.
• Relevant college degree, or relevant experience as a Field Foreman or Field Engineer.
• Basic safety awareness, supervisory experience, and ability to maintain daily reports.
• Fundamental understanding of project documents and building construction.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, identify problems, and manage time.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions, move around an active job site, and maintain consistent attendance.

Nice to have

• Internship with a commercial construction company.
• Experience with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or comparable construction technologies.
• Interest in integrated project delivery, process improvement, and construction technology.
