Director of Marketing

Location: Hybrid role based in Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute a cohesive marketing and network strategy with senior leadership and firm partners.
• Lead digital marketing across web, social media, content distribution, SEO, and in-person programming.
• Build and nurture relationships with founders, limited partners, and general partners through events, Slack, newsletters, and other channels.
• Coordinate with the events production team to deliver high-impact in-person experiences.
• Partner with the technology team to measure reach, engagement, audience specificity, and network growth.
• Set KPIs, prioritize initiatives, communicate strategic decisions, and refine tactics using data and feedback.

Requirements

• Experience developing and implementing comprehensive marketing communications and brand strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, including KPI setting, performance analysis, and data-driven marketing planning.
• Experience aligning multiple stakeholders and delivering large-scale projects end-to-end.
• Professional network or community-building experience, with expertise across paid, earned, owned, and event channels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with senior partners and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of the founder and venture ecosystem, including experience in startups, venture capital, accelerators, or comparable environments.

Nice to have

• Experience at an early-stage startup, particularly inheriting and amplifying a brand from 1 to 10.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to scale marketing and network activities.
