Reliability Analyst (Aviation)

What you will do

• Analyze aircraft, system, and component performance data for safety, reliability, and economic impact.
• Evaluate maintenance data and support optimization of maintenance and inspection tasks.
• Prepare reports, presentations, statistical overviews, and trend analyses for maintenance and engineering management.
• Investigate aircraft defects and coordinate root-cause analysis projects.
• Provide component data to vendors and collaborate on improved testing and repair methods.
• Travel to vendor repair stations when required, with travel of up to 10% including overnight and weekend trips.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, aviation, maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of statistical reliability or maintenance program experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in creating, using, and manipulating relational databases.
• Ability to interpret technical, scientific, financial, and regulatory information and present findings to management and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds for up to 35% of working time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AC 120-17A maintenance control by reliability methods and applicable FAA Inspector’s Handbook requirements.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodology.
• Understanding of Operations Specifications D074 and D072 and Component Analysis MSG-3.
