Team Leader Production

Location: Taber, Alberta, Canada (plant). Onsite production role requiring weekend and rotating shift work, including swing and graveyard shifts.

What you will do

• Lead and supervise 20–30 production employees, including work planning, training, performance evaluation, and problem resolution.
• Identify and resolve production process bottlenecks while executing plant process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and staffing to maintain production schedules.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
• Build an engaged, team-oriented workforce and support employee development and future leadership growth.
• Promote the plant’s safety and wellness culture and contribute to sustainability and the local community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or three years of related experience.
• Experience or ability to supervise, train, assign, and direct production work for a team.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing software and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, reaching, and regularly lifting or moving up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
• Ability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including swing and graveyard shifts.
