Quality Assurance Specialist - SDS Projects (Space & Defense)

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with quality processes, standards, and best practices through project, process, and supplier audits.
• Support supplier selection, qualification, evaluation, monitoring, and improvement in collaboration with project teams.
• Develop project quality plans and approve design, procurement, integration, and testing documentation.
• Control quality during integration and assembly testing and participate in Material Review Board decisions.
• Participate in Configuration Control Board decisions and track the implementation of design changes.
• Manage SDS business-unit quality systems and drive process simplification and optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• French is required; English is required for regular communication with customers outside Quebec.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and aerospace standards such as AS9100 or EN9100.
• Knowledge of project management, risk management, and quality tools including APQP and FMEA.
• Leadership, decision-making, analytical, communication, teamwork, autonomy, rigor, and responsibility in a regulated environment.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001 or AS9100 internal auditor certification.
• Experience working in a regulated or standardized environment.
