Workday Systems Analyst – Finance (Workday Financials)

Location: Remote within the United States, primarily Zones A–C. New hires are not currently budgeted for higher-cost Zone D markets, including San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and San Jose.

Salary: $116,050–$127,000 per year

What you will do

• Support Workday Financials and related finance applications across financial management, procurement, reporting, and connected processes.
• Gather and analyze Finance requirements, document functional specifications, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Configure Workday business processes, security requirements, reports, calculated fields, and other functional components.
• Support integrations and data flows, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with technical teams on complex problems.
• Create reports, validate data, investigate discrepancies, and improve data visibility for Finance and Technology Services stakeholders.
• Plan and execute testing, documentation, releases, and implementation activities for Finance systems initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience supporting Finance organizations, Finance systems, business applications, or a related area.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials or comparable ERP finance modules.
• Knowledge of Finance processes and experience translating business requirements into system solutions.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, reporting, and documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday procurement, expenses, accounting, reporting, business processes, calculated fields, or data validation.
• Experience supporting Workday integrations and data flows with adjacent finance applications.
• Experience in healthcare, technology, or another complex operating environment.
• Experience with enterprise software releases, implementations, or continuous improvement initiatives.
