Hardware Development Project Manager (Electromechanical Products)

Location: South Jordan, Utah, USA; candidates must be in or relocate to the Salt Lake City, Utah area and work in-office Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays as needed. Regular travel to or within Asia, including China and Malaysia, is required at least four times per year.

What you will do

• Manage complex electro-mechanical product development projects from planning through market delivery.
• Act as the technical and programmatic focal point for engineering and cross-functional development activities.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate systems integration, testing, inspection, and quality activities to verify product performance against specifications.
• Lead communication with software, product management, quality, management, and international engineering teams.
• Coordinate suppliers and contract manufacturers to deliver project objectives, including international manufacturing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of project management experience related to product development.
• Working knowledge of software and firmware, some programming experience, and the ability to understand electronics, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel; ability to use project management technologies and tools effectively.
• Must be located in or relocate to the Salt Lake City, Utah area, work in-office four days per week, and currently reside in the United States.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Minitab.
• Knowledge of statistical process control methods, including Cpk, T-tests, X-bar/R charts, and design of experiments.
