R&D Project Manager

What you will do

• Lead R&D projects from concept through development, scale-up, implementation, and commercialization.
• Define project goals, success measures, deliverables, plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate collaboration across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and business teams.
• Identify technical risks and changing priorities, resolve obstacles, and manage scope changes.
• Facilitate project reviews, decision-making sessions, milestones, and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and governance standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Science, or another technical field.
• Experience managing projects in R&D, product development, engineering, or another technical environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments with evolving priorities.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience with MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
• PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar project management certification.
• Experience with stage-gate product development processes.
• Experience in regulated industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or automotive.
• Familiarity with experimentation, data-driven development, or Design of Experiments.
