Mechanical Technician (Inkjet Printing)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite manufacturing production facility.

What you will do

• Assemble prefabricated components and sub-assemblies into finished inkjet printer builds using engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions.
• Test products, machines, cables, and mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies for safety, functionality, quality, and consistency.
• Inspect dimensions and finished products using precision measuring and diagnostic instruments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identify causes, and implement corrective solutions.
• Install and test drives, motors, firmware, systems software, and electrical wiring.
• Complete production, quality assurance, and build-progress documentation while following health, safety, and 6S procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical trade school certificate in electrical, mechanical, machine building, or software interfaces.
• 0–5 years of experience in a mechanical production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams and use precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of mechanical machine assembly, software operating systems, and basic computer-based manufacturing tools.
• Good oral and written English communication skills required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
