Senior Research Analyst, Primary Research/Survey

Location: Based at the Menara Skymind office in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia; in-person work is required three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely at other times.

What you will do

• Lead primary research projects that generate market perspectives for syndicated research and consulting engagements.
• Manage complex projects, timelines, stakeholder relationships, and delivery quality.
• Design and validate survey instruments, advise on methodology, and oversee fieldwork, quotas, and sampling challenges.
• Develop innovative research methodologies and create research panel communities for industry-focused services.
• Build relationships with research partners, panel providers, analysts, and internal clients.
• Author research reports, mentor junior analysts, and lead methodology training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in research, data analysis, or related roles.
• Advanced knowledge of research methodologies, data acquisition, operational workflows, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience managing complex projects, multiple priorities, and tight deadlines.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret large datasets and produce accurate, actionable insights.
• Experience with Qualtrics, SPSS, Excel, or similar analytical tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Technology market experience.
• Experience using Python, SQL, Excel, or other tools for data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization.
