TL;DR
IT Undergrad Technical Intern - AI and Data Analytics (AI): Developing enterprise data analytics, reporting, and AI solutions for Finance data within an Agile team with an accent on data validation, data flow mapping, data model design, and cloud analytics platforms. Focus on building and testing scalable solutions, applying SQL and data visualization, and supporting actionable insights, compliance, and governance.
Location: Penang, Malaysia. Hybrid work model with time split between the assigned site and off-site work.

What you will do
- Work within an Agile team on Finance data, analytics, reporting, and AI solutions.
- Perform data analysis and validation, data flow mapping, and data model design.
- Develop and test enterprise-scale solutions on modern cloud analytics platforms.
- Contribute to solutions that deliver actionable insights and support compliance and data governance.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals while building technical and business acumen.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Availability for an internship of at least 6 months.
- Strong SQL programming, advanced Excel, data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Interest in cloud data analytics, enterprise reporting, data science, and AI/ML operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex and ambiguous issues to different audiences.
- Self-starter able to take ownership, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
Nice to have
- Fundamental knowledge of Azure Data Fundamentals, Databricks, or Snowflake data warehouses.
- Basic exposure to SAP HANA, ERP fundamentals, ECC, S/4, BW, or SAC.
- Fundamental understanding of machine learning and deep learning.
- Experience with R or Python for statistical, predictive, or prescriptive analytics.
- Finance and supply chain data knowledge.
