Director of Expert Supply Growth (AI)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in the office, in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY

Salary: $200,000–$310,000 annually for tier-one locations, plus equity compensation.

What you will do

• Define the long-term strategy for attracting, developing, and retaining specialized experts for the AI Expert Network.
• Translate business demand into acquisition targets by skill, domain, geography, worker type, and timing.
• Manage acquisition channels including paid growth, recruiting, referrals, communities, industry and higher-education partnerships, BPOs, and staffing vendors.
• Own channel economics, attribution, CAC targets, testing budgets, and growth scorecards focused on activated experts and accepted work.
• Build partnerships with professional associations, universities, research institutions, staffing firms, and BPO providers.
• Develop scalable systems, operating routines, forecasting inputs, partner-management processes, and a high-performing team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in growth, marketplace or talent supply, workforce acquisition, partnerships, recruiting, or operations.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams.
• Experience scaling the supply side of a marketplace, talent network, staffing platform, professional-services business, or similar specialized-talent model.
• Experience leading multi-channel growth portfolios and managing strategic partnerships.
• Strong analytical and experimental judgment, including funnel design, attribution, channel economics, and investment decisions.
• Ability to operate with high ownership in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and use AI tools for research, analysis, experimentation, and workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, expert networks, or technology-enabled services.
• Experience acquiring technical or domain-specific experts in coding, STEM, law, healthcare, finance, or related fields.
• Relationships with professional associations, universities, graduate programs, or research institutions.
• Experience managing global BPO, staffing, or workforce-vendor portfolios.
• Experience improving acquisition, matching, onboarding, or activation workflows with product and engineering teams.
