Application Support Scientist

Location: On-site in Denver, Colorado, United States, with the North America Applications team based at demo sites in Marlborough, Massachusetts or Golden, Colorado. Up to 50% travel in North America is required.

Salary: $74,000–$92,000 annually, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations of SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows.
• Provide on-site training and ongoing technical support for SCIEX hardware and software platforms.
• Develop sample preparation procedures, analytical methods, reporting solutions, and application packages for customers and internal use.
• Collaborate with sales, service, product, and regional teams to identify growth opportunities and deliver application solutions.
• Help define and develop new hardware and software products and test nominal- and accurate-mass systems.
• Participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related life sciences field.
• 2+ years of experience with mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, LC-MS, and related analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of LC-MS/MS method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with small-molecule quantitation on triple quadrupole instruments.
• Ability to present scientific data clearly, build customer relationships, and troubleshoot instrumentation and application issues.
• Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and availability for up to 50% North American travel.

• Experience with SCIEX instrumentation and software.
• Knowledge of clinical market trends, assays, and laboratory workflows.
