Lead Merchandising Operations Analyst (Retail)

Location: Hybrid role based at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; Tuesday through Thursday in the office and Monday and Friday remotely.

Salary: $103,000.00–$131,500.00 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary analytical partner for Center Core, High Value Space, and Merchant teams.
• Translate business questions into analysis that supports assortment, space, promotional, sales, margin, and member-value decisions.
• Investigate ambiguous questions, identify root causes, monitor forecasts, and recommend adjustments.
• Build and own metrics, dashboards, reporting, and analytical frameworks for Center Core and High Value Space.
• Source, validate, certify, and document data across fragmented systems.
• Contribute to merchandising analytics standards, governance, methodology research, and expanded BI and AI-enabled capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in merchandising analytics, category management, retail operations, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to work independently with large or messy datasets and turn ambiguous data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, project management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in the hybrid schedule at the Marlborough, Massachusetts support center is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks or SAP.
• General retail, wholesale, club-channel, or promotional analytics experience.
