Ammonia Terminal Operator - Brandon (Ammonia)

Location: Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. On-site terminal operations with flexible shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call operators must remain within approximately 30–45 minutes of the facility. Limited travel to other company facilities and travel to the U.S. may be required.

What you will do

• Load, unload, store, and transfer ammonia products in accordance with operating procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, pipes, valves, buildings, grounds, and other operating equipment.
• Apply refrigeration principles, test samples, and monitor and record gauges and facility processes.
• Maintain operating manuals, records, paperwork, procedures, and supplies accurately.
• Participate in hazardous-material response, emergency response, safety activities, training, and capital and maintenance projects.
• Support other operators, assist at other company locations when directed, and assume facility management responsibilities when the facility manager is absent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of college, military or technical training, or related work experience.
• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
• Refrigeration knowledge appropriate to the position level.
• Ability to work in a continuous operating process environment, including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional short-notice coverage.
• Basic computer skills, data-entry and information-retrieval ability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• HAZMAT Technician certification is required after employment. Ability to complete emergency-response training and use protective equipment, including Level A suits and SCBA.
