Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; co-op term from January 18, 2027 through June 25, 2027; 70% in-office work model.

Salary: $20.00–$60.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and evaluate AI/ML and agentic solutions for clinical data analysis, statistical programming, and workflow automation.
• Build LLM-enabled workflows using tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, domain-specific agents, and workflow orchestration.
• Explore model post-training, adaptation, evaluation, and optimization for statistical and clinical research applications.
• Design scalable AI pipelines integrating clinical, statistical, and translational datasets.
• Develop interactive visualizations, dashboards, analytical applications, and reusable computational tools.
• Collaborate with statisticians, statistical programmers, data scientists, and scientists to support clinical development workflows and documentation.

Requirements

• Must be available for the complete co-op term from January 18, 2027 through June 25, 2027.
• Advanced undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral student in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, health informatics, data science, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong statistical knowledge and quantitative skills applied to scientific and clinical problems.
• Python programming experience is required. Experience with R, cloud computing, containerization, backend development, and SQL is valuable.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in GenAI, LLMs, machine learning, agentic systems, model post-training, or AI application development.
• U.S. export-control access requirements apply; only U.S. persons can access controlled information without an export license.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, APIs, model evaluation, AI deployment, dashboards, data visualization, or analytical applications.
• Interest in reliable, scalable AI solutions for clinical or biomedical research.
• Strong analytical thinking, engineering mindset, curiosity, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.
