Assistant Plant Manager (Industrial Gases)

Location: Charlestown, New Hampshire, United States; onsite at an industrial gas filling plant

What you will do

• Supervise associates working in plant operations, quality assurance, laboratory activities, and driving operations.
• Manage gas cylinder processing, ultrasonic testing, inventory, production schedules, and time records.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, SAFECORE, and related requirements.
• Assign work based on customer needs, inventory levels, and employee expertise while coordinating with other plant supervisors.
• Improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and crew efficiency.
• Train employees, resolve operational issues, support personnel decisions, and assist with capital investment planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use metrics to improve production efficiency.
• Ability to complete handwritten compliance documentation accurately and perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to occasionally move up to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds using material-handling equipment.

Nice to have

• Technical experience with compressed gases, gas analysis, and gas laboratory equipment.
• Experience using SAP.
