Software Test Engineer (Security Detection)

Location: On-site at the hirify.global facility in Edgewood, Maryland, USA

Salary: $147,061–$176,473 per year, plus a business profit plan and benefits

What you will do

• Analyze software requirements and develop test strategies, test plans, use cases, and test cases.
• Execute manual, automated, regression, integration, and system-level testing across multiple product lines.
• Document test results, track defects, prepare reports, and communicate findings to engineering and project stakeholders.
• Develop and implement automation frameworks and tools to reduce manual testing and improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Support field upgrades, service and operations activities, and customer deployments, including travel when required.
• Mentor junior test engineers and represent the test team in technical discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience with a proven record of releasing quality software.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong software quality assurance fundamentals and experience with version control, bug tracking, and test management tools such as Git, SVN, JIRA, and TestRail.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows system software, scripting with Python, and test programming with C or C++.
• Must be available to work on-site in Edgewood, Maryland, and willing to work with physical CT systems, including swapping parts and pushing bags.
• Must be willing to complete a drug test and background investigation; continued employment depends on maintaining an approved investigation.
