TL;DR
Manufacturing Operator 3 - Assembly & Test (precision electronics manufacturing): Assembling, inspecting, and reworking miniature electronic and mechanical components using microscopes, precision tools, and ESD-safe practices with an accent on quality, safety, and predictable production output. Focus on identifying defects, supporting corrective actions and process development, and mentoring junior manufacturing operators.

Location: Farmers Branch, Texas, United States; onsite night shift

What you will do

  • Assemble and inspect complex semiconductor-related products using detailed work instructions, microscopes, and precision tools.
  • Handle miniature electronic and mechanical components with ESD-safe practices while meeting productivity, quality, safety, and production requirements.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections; document defects and support corrective actions.
  • Complete approved rework, escalate complex issues, and identify recurring assembly problems for continuous improvement.
  • Support new process development with engineering teams and help prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily operations.
  • Mentor and train Manufacturing Operator I team members on processes, equipment, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Experience with repetitive precision work, strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read detailed instructions and perform intermediate-level tasks accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using microscopes, magnification equipment, precision tools, gauges, or basic test equipment.
  • Understanding of quality standards, documentation, safety protocols, ESD practices, and required PPE.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or perform repetitive motions for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Experience in electronics assembly, SMT, medical device manufacturing, aerospace assembly, or a similar precision manufacturing environment.
  • Basic soldering experience.
  • IPC certification.
  • Prior experience mentoring or training team members.

  • Regular shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
  • 15% shift differential for night-shift work.
