Compliance Officer - FTC (Data Protection)

What you will do

• Oversee data subject rights processes across the hirify.global Group and manage employee Subject Access Requests, including redaction.
• Manage privacy rights workflows using OneTrust or similar platforms and identify process improvements.
• Provide practical advice on the UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR, and day-to-day privacy matters.
• Support customer-facing teams with data subject rights and data protection complaints.
• Respond to, investigate, and escalate data protection incidents and breaches through resolution.
• Support data protection awareness initiatives and help strengthen the organisation’s compliance culture.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and PECR.
• Experience in data protection, privacy, legal, or compliance work.
• Practical, business-focused approach to interpreting legislation and advising different audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy issues clearly.
• Strong organisation, analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and confidence to constructively challenge non-compliant approaches.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a similar data protection or privacy-related role.
