Supplier Quality Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; hybrid workplace with travel to supplier sites when required

hirify.global develops autonomous mobile robots and is scaling its production and product portfolio.

What you will do

• Own supplier quality for a portfolio of critical mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic suppliers from qualification through production and continuous improvement.
• Define supplier qualification criteria and maintain supplier audit and assessment frameworks.
• Conduct on-site supplier assessments, monitor supplier performance, and drive audit findings and improvement actions through verified closure.
• Develop and maintain Quality Assurance Agreement templates aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 80079-34, and coordinate Quality, Legal, and Purchasing approvals.
• Define and manage the supplier non-conformance process, including escalation, tracking, trend analysis, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality while challenging suppliers on quality and delivery requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in supplier quality management for complex mechatronic products.
• Hands-on experience conducting supplier audits and driving corrective actions through verified closure.
• Strong understanding of root-cause analysis, 8D, and structured problem solving.
• Experience defining and negotiating supplier quality requirements, ideally including Quality Assurance Agreements.
• Ability to work across Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality and challenge suppliers when requirements are not met.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers and spend time on-site when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 80079-34 in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience building or improving supplier quality processes in a scaling manufacturing organization.
• Familiarity with SPC, Cpk/Ppk, and Pareto analysis.
