CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital, 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States. Onsite weekend program, 24 hours per week. Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; holiday and on-call coverage required.

Salary: $39.36–$51.17 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $6,000.

What you will do

• Screen, prepare, monitor, and provide post-procedure care for patients throughout CT imaging.
• Produce diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply clinical judgment to optimize image quality, review images before exam completion, and initiate corrective action when needed.
• Administer contrast according to policy, including contraindication screening and patient monitoring.
• Operate CT imaging equipment, maintain room readiness, and escalate equipment performance issues.
• Coordinate exam flow, prioritize time-sensitive studies, and maintain accurate medical record and image archive documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Maintain radiation safety, infection prevention, imaging quality, and patient safety standards.
• Availability for weekend day shifts, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• One year of experience.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
