Product Management Director, Subsystems (Hardware & Networking)

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office at the Santa Clara, CA office

Salary: $239,000–$359,000 USD annual base salary, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing organization of Subsystem Product Managers.
• Define multi-year product strategies, qualification criteria, and lifecycle roadmaps for compute, chassis, interconnects, and networking fabrics across FlashArray and FlashBlade.
• Establish reference architectures and architectural guardrails in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field teams.
• Represent subsystem strategy in executive roadmap reviews, customer escalations, and competitive proof-of-concept engagements.
• Manage budgets, unit economics, supply chain trade-offs, product margins, and delivery schedules.

Requirements

• Experience recruiting, managing, and developing technical product management or systems engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in enterprise storage hardware, server compute platforms, backend interconnects, and high-speed networking.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and NVMe-oF.
• Advanced financial and strategic skills, including COGS analysis, resource allocation, supply chain decisions, and margin management.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, executive presence, and cross-functional technical influence.
• Ability to work primarily from the Santa Clara, California office, except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
