Associate, Software Engineering

Location: Yorba Linda, California, United States; onsite role with a 9/80 schedule, working 9 out of every 14 days and having every other Friday off.

Salary: $75,500–$140,500 per year.

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and system designs with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Use modeling tools and experimental testing to establish operating data and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair software defects.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; security clearances may require U.S. citizenship.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, wireless engineering, information security, mathematics, digital arts and sciences, or a related field, or have completed the degree within the last 12 months.
• Knowledge of software development and testing concepts.
• Ability to work with embedded, real-time, Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms.
• Background checks and pre-employment substance abuse testing may apply where permitted by law.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, .NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, real-time controls, wireless, software security, robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or embedded systems.
• Experience with VxWorks, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, or custom processor environments.
