Revenue Accounting Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead monthly close activities for assigned revenue accounting areas, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Maintain and enhance SOX controls, documentation, and responses to internal and external audit requests.
• Manage and develop a team of accountants and oversee outsourced or contract resources.
• Partner with Technical Accounting, Finance, Legal, Data & Engineering, Sales Operations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and business owners on accounting requirements and process improvements.
• Investigate discrepancies in automated revenue entries, review test transactions and Snowflake source data, and drive corrections and automation.
• Assess revenue recognition implications of new products, features, and platform tests, and document related accounting processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and accounting operations or financial systems.
• 2+ years of direct experience managing and developing an accounting team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and SOX/internal controls.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large volumes of transactional data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and judgment skills; SQL experience or willingness to develop SQL skills is preferred.

• Experience with ERP or revenue systems.

• CPA certification and SQL experience.
