Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $165,000–$175,000 base salary per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, including revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables reporting.
• Act as the subject matter expert for ASC 606 and provide guidance on non-standard customer contracts and deal structures.
• Prepare technical accounting whitepapers and memos and serve as the primary revenue contact for external auditors.
• Oversee billing, collections, customer inquiries, and internal controls across revenue and billing pipelines.
• Partner with Business Platform, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance, and FP&A to improve billing systems, forecasting, variance analysis, and order-to-cash operations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the revenue accounting team while using AI to support contract analysis, memo drafting, audit work, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of combined public accounting and revenue accounting experience, preferably including Big 4 experience and work with public, high-growth, or pre-IPO SaaS companies.
• Experience managing or leading accounting professionals and building an accountable, development-focused team culture.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606, order-to-cash accounting, revenue operations, and billing and revenue controls.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and revenue or billing tools such as ARM, Stripe, or Zuora.
• Experience partnering with IT or Business Platforms teams on billing upgrades, system conversions, automated integrations, and process improvements.
• Strong technical writing, analytical judgment, communication, prioritization, and attention to detail.
