Environment, People, and Place Analyst

Location: Brooklyn, NY, United States. The role is primarily in-office, with remote work available when needed.

Salary: $87,000–$94,000 per year, plus potential performance-based incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, including economic and fiscal impact studies, benefit-cost analysis, and climate change assessments.
• Perform feasibility analyses and market studies for urban development and redevelopment projects.
• Research trends in urbanization, transportation, energy, and economic development.
• Support urban design, zoning, land use planning, real estate, and socio-economic studies.
• Develop environmental project designs, collect baseline data, identify applicable legislation and standards, and model potential impacts.
• Prepare technical reports and calculations related to air quality, noise, soil, groundwater contamination, and surface water.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be university or college graduate with little or no professional experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, urban planning, architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, environmental planning, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of urban planning, real estate, economics, land use, environmental policy, or environmental science and engineering.
• Quantitative skills and experience with financial, real estate, economic, environmental, or climate change modeling.
• Ability to research issues, prepare reports and submissions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; basic InDesign familiarity is beneficial.
