Platform Data Architect (Student Information Systems)

Location: United States; remote. Occasional travel to partner onsite locations is required a handful of times per year.

Salary: $118K–$173K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own data integrations for assigned universities from initial discovery through signed-off feeds and ongoing support.
• Lead new partner deployments, including source discovery, query writing, feed setup, validation, and registrar sign-off.
• Upgrade and migrate integrations for universities already using the platform.
• Translate institutional policies and registrar processes into accurate data extracts and models.
• Define inspection and logging capabilities so delivery teams can identify feed issues independently.
• Standardize documentation, integration patterns, and repeatable solutions to reduce the cost of future deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with student information systems, either within a university or building integrations.
• Deep experience with at least two SIS platforms, including PeopleSoft; Banner, Colleague, Workday, Jenzabar, PowerCampus, or a homegrown system may provide the second platform.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems, including schema analysis, datatype nuances, and independent debugging queries.
• Experience designing durable scheduled data extracts, data models, and integrations that remain accurate across future academic terms.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar SIS and ERP implementations quickly and communicate effectively with registrars and database administrators.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills, with willingness to travel for partner onsites several times per year.
