Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Manassas, Virginia, United States office; telework opportunities are available. Ability to travel 15% to CONUS/OCONUS locations is required.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop software solutions by analyzing information needs, system flows, data usage, and user requirements.
• Prototype and develop AI/ML, big data, and cloud solutions supporting Naval Acoustics.
• Deploy capabilities to cloud environments and operational end users.
• Evaluate solution feasibility, define requirements, and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize development and service issues while meeting project timelines.
• Collaborate with project and technical teams in an agile, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Five years of experience coding, designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Windows, Linux, enterprise application integration, and architecture and data flow diagrams.
• Strong analytical, communication, technical writing, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with acoustic data, sonar systems, acoustic engineering, computer vision, computer graphics, and homography.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms, DevSecOps, big data, and cloud technologies including Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations or performers.
