Asset Management - Baggage Operative

Location: Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland; on-site shift work with site attendance required during major system failures

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the Dublin Airport Baggage Handling System to support safe, efficient baggage throughput.
• Clear bag jams and operational faults, reset systems with MIS control, investigate root causes, and monitor baggage movements through SCADA and related control systems.
• Patrol baggage halls and systems, recover misplaced items, perform operator care, cleaning, functionality checks, X-ray checks, lighting inspections, and equipment reboots.
• Assist Asset Management colleagues with repairs, preventive maintenance, projects, stock checks, re-lamping, equipment handling, and contractor escorting.
• Record planned, reactive, and corrective work in CMMS, including timecards, escalations, and workflow completion.
• Support health and safety activities, audits, incident reporting, training, standards compliance, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Understanding of baggage halls and associated systems.
• Fluent English is essential for radio communications and health and safety requirements.
• Computer literacy, including competency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment and participate in required training and shift operations.
