Program Manager, Payments (Fintech)

Location: New Jersey, United States. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.

Annual salary: $140,000–$160,000 USD

What you will do

• Create and maintain program management plans covering scope, staffing, controls, escalation, change management, risk, quality, readiness, and invoicing.
• Build integrated master schedules, manage critical paths, coordinate dependencies, and control approved changes.
• Run client governance, reporting, action tracking, and executive stakeholder communications.
• Drive approval of security, continuity, testing, data migration, transition, SOP, and training deliverables.
• Lead integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and formal sign-off.
• Manage post-go-live releases, service-level reporting, incident root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and client-requested enhancements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of program or project management experience, including multi-year public-sector implementations with formal milestone approvals and change control.
• Experience delivering payment or financial technology programs involving payment processing, transactions, payment data, settlement, or reconciliation.
• Experience coordinating multiple teams or vendors through integration and acceptance testing.
• Proficiency with scheduling and work-tracking tools, with working knowledge of data security and privacy requirements such as PCI DSS and PII.
• Strong formal writing and executive presentation skills.
• Must pass identity verification, criminal history, and counter-terrorism screening; U.S. work authorization is required for U.S. employment, and sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• PMP or PgMP certification.
• Experience delivering under state or local government contracts.
• Familiarity with NACHA and card-network rules.
