Judicial Recovery Lead (Legal Collections)

Location: Hybrid work from the Polanco office in Mexico

hirify.global, formerly Different Technologies, is building Banco Plata’s legal collections function for the Mexican market.

What you will do

• Redesign judicial recovery from spreadsheets and manual court visits into an automated case pipeline with status tracking, document generation, follow-up automation, and a central system of record.
• Build institutional relationships with court directors, CNBV, and other relevant authorities to improve case admission and standardize banking collections procedures.
• Manage external law firms, notaries, providers, and the power-of-attorney lifecycle while improving cost per case and turnaround times.
• Lead and grow a team of lawyers and legal assistants by defining responsibilities, setting KPIs, reviewing performance, and hiring as the function expands.
• Report on recovered amounts, recovery-to-cost ratio, case cycle time, and court admission rate, and recommend future investments.

Requirements

• Mexican law degree with cédula profesional in good standing.
• Typically 7+ years of experience in mercantile litigation and/or debt recovery, including leadership or directive experience.
• Deep practical knowledge of Mexican courts and the judicial collections process.
• Credibility with judges, court directors, and regulators, with the ability to lead institutional discussions.
• Experience managing people and setting clear performance expectations.
• Working proficiency in English is required for strategy, product, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience as a judge, court clerk, or senior court official.
• Senior leadership experience at a legal collections agency or a law firm serving banks.
• Banking or fintech experience, including familiarity with CNBV and CONDUSEF requirements.
• Experience with juicio en línea, electronic filing, or legal-tech tools.
