Developer Events and Community Manager

Location: Remote within the United States, with preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The role includes travel for in-person developer events, conferences, meetups, and other company engagements.

Salary: $133,000–$186,000 USD annual base salary, plus benefits, equity, and applicable incentive programs.

What you will do

• Develop a strategic calendar of conferences, meetups, workshops, dinners, and hirify.global-hosted developer events.
• Evaluate sponsorship and conference opportunities, manage organizers, vendors, budgets, and event investments.
• Plan and deliver welcoming, useful events, including formats, speakers, venues, invitations, and on-site execution.
• Build ongoing developer communities between events and create opportunities for continued participation and contribution.
• Collaborate with developer advocacy, marketing, and sales to connect events with technical content, relationships, adoption, and pipeline.
• Capture event photos, videos, and takeaways for LinkedIn, X, and other communication channels.

Requirements

• Experience building developer events or communities, preferably at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology company.
• Demonstrated ability to grow an engaged community beyond registrations and attendance.
• Strong event production skills and the ability to manage unexpected issues on site.
• Experience managing sponsorships, vendors, and budgets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with developers, organizers, speakers, partners, and internal teams.
• Must be based in the United States, able to work remotely from the home country, travel as the program grows, and work independently.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships in the San Francisco or New York developer communities.
• Experience in security, identity, or infrastructure.
