Head of Developer Relations (AI)

Factory develops AI-powered software development tools and Droids that help developers improve engineering workflows.

What you will do

• Define and lead developer relations strategy across technical content, communities, events, partnerships, and social channels.
• Represent Factory through technical writing, tutorials, demos, conferences, podcasts, livestreams, and developer communities.
• Build technical resources including sample applications, reference implementations, documentation, and case studies.
• Develop and scale developer communities, workshops, meetups, hackathons, launch programs, and conference activations.
• Build relationships with developers, open-source maintainers, AI companies, research groups, and technology partners.
• Establish feedback loops with Product and Engineering and measure adoption, engagement, content performance, community health, and product feedback.

Requirements

• Significant experience in developer relations, developer education, product management, software engineering, or technical leadership.
• Deep technical credibility with the ability to build, demonstrate, and explain modern software development workflows.
• Experience building and scaling developer communities, programs, or ecosystems.
• Strong familiarity with AI-assisted development, coding agents, developer tools, open source, and emerging engineering practices.
• Exceptional written, verbal, on-camera, and public-speaking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear narratives.
• Strong product instincts, a metrics-driven approach, high agency, and the ability to build a function in a fast-moving environment.
